Signet of Binding have a use here, with 15 seconds recharge I must say that it is quite fast and fun to control HM superb high level spirits.

Signet of Binding, Gaze of Fury, Consume Soul and the spirits are gone. And some AOE can still wipe them.

I don't like the buffed restoration on monsters. Can make the fight much longer.

If you're moaning because you find it harder...well the clue's in the title to be honest. Hard Mode. It's supposed to be a challenge, and if skill updates make it harder then so be it.

Besides one annoying Rit Boss in Morostav Trails i dont find any other lesser Rits hard in HM PvE.. As far as i have encountered them Warden rits are still easy to take care off... without any problems.. On the opther hand.. Ritr hero found a place on my party besides my bomber MM and N/rt healer.... oh the fun of minions and spirits together = OWNAGE =)

The bosses aren't as bad because the ones that do spam spirits, only spam offensive ones (which are never a big deal, 1 SH on them and bam, gone.)

The rit bosses that use resto spirits only use 2 at most, which wont make it much worse.

Agreed. The cavaliers were already uber at rezzing. This buff is going to make fighting groups with 3 cavaliers interesting in HM. I'm anticipating having 2 Frozen Soil summoners so that it will never be down until the cavaliers and acolytes are dead.

Regarding the rits: Yes, it's a buff. But really, lots of tools to deal with them:
Consume Soul
Gaze of Fury
Holy Spear
and some mesmer skills that "next time target foe uses a skill in the next 6 seconds..."

shouldnt be a big deal. it just means spirits will be up all the time but they arent that threatening. the only thing that i can think of being extremely bad is the spirit restoration which resses things near it. especially for the deep where u are forced to split into tiny groups of 3 in HM at the beggining.

Nobody Complains When the montly updates make HM easier. infact nobody says a thing.. unless its a SC area.

HM got a little bit harder now everyone crys like its actually impossible. so a fight extends by 3 mins maybe.. wow... i might aswell just stop playing. i dont have that kinda free time1!!!1!11!!!

If you have to.. as ive seen no1 else suggest this. immolate takes down spirits really easy. burning > spirits in seconds.

Ritualists where never a profession to be interrupted. That's why rituals are not spells.

But it's actually funny how spirits are the last thing standing after a fight now.
I use that against monters.

When I'm going to face enemy ritualists, I bring the signet of binding and spirit destruction skills. I take those spirits for myself. In HM, they are usually at such high levels that they work way better than my own. And I can also shadow step them to where I am, and/or destroy them to damage the enemy, or heal my own party.

Want to see something REALLY funny? Fight in the Norn tournament until you get to Razah, I can't believe how I was able to beat him.

"Full: Target foe takes 15...63 damage. If that foe was a summoned creature this signet does double damage and recharges instantly. "
skill unnatural signet....mesmer skill

or go secondary rit and "Full: You steal 5...49 Health from target foe. If that foe was a summoned creature, you steal all of that foe's life. "
consume soul

a hero with some microing could work too

This is a big Discordway nerf because as previously mentioned:

(Spirits are immune to enchantments and hexes, and thus you can't ever Discord them). The countering tactics mentioned in this thread don't really work on a Discordway team because:

1. The most efficient Discordway support player is */A with Assassin's Promise with spikes and no AoE's. Especially if you're not a Me and Rt primary, you'd have to seriously compromise your efficiency to equip anti-spirit skills.

2. You can't just leave with the spirits still alive because all your minions will stay behind to have a tea party with them.

IMHO the biggest general hassle is that NPC Rits are now pumping out their 3-4 spirits before you even get to them. So as soon as you reach them you're slammed with their Resto heals and Channeling spikes. Before you would have some grace periods while they were casting their rituals.

I Vanquished Alazacia Tangle yesterday and didn't have any problems taking down the Simian Ritualist there. I targeted them first and let my H/H take care of them. Maybe Ritualist monster in other areas with other skills may be a different story and harder to take down? But so far I haven't had any issues.

Discordway nerf...?

Get real man.

Signet of Binding
Consume Soul
Gaze of Fury
Unnatural Signet

Probably other skills as well. Don't be so stuck in a box.

You seriously don't even need specific skills to take down Spirits.

Protip: You're doing it wrong.
